Appointment of Officers to New Police Stations
Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has appointed police inspectors for the newly operational police stations. The newly appointed police inspectors for the new police stations are Anil Vibhute (Bavdhan), Rajendra Bahirat (Kalewadi), Nilesh Waghmare (Dapodi), and Gorakh Kumbhar (Sant Tukaram Nagar).
Due to the efforts of Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaubey, a nine-acre site has been made available for the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate in Chikhali. The approved blueprint for a unique and modern circular building equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the commissionerate was presented through a "walk-through" video. Along with this, four newly approved police stations and the online inauguration and commissioning of the Cyber Police Station took place. The online inauguration and commissioning were conducted by the state's Home Minister and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The newly approved police stations at Sant Tukaram Nagar, Dapodi, Kalewadi, and Bavdhan, as well as the Cyber Police Station, were inaugurated online. The "PC-CT Shield" app, created using AI to effectively monitor criminals, checkposts, and patrols, was also launched. The event took place at the Pune city police headquarters ground. Present at the ceremony were Police Director General (Judicial and Technical) Sanjay Kumar Verma, Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Chaubey, Additional Commissioner Dr. Shashikant Mahavarkar, Deputy Commissioner Vasant Pardeshi, and other officials.
Devendra Fadnavis stated that the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate building would be one of the most modern buildings in the country. It would not only be a matter of pride for Pimpri-Chinchwad but also for the state police force.
Transfers within the Crime Branch
There were also transfers of police inspectors within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Crime Branch. Inspector Shailendra Gaikwad was transferred from Crime Branch Unit 3 to Crime Branch Unit 2, while Inspector Jitendra Kadam was transferred from Crime Branch Unit 2 to Crime Branch Unit 3. Inspector Suhas Avhad of the Pimpri Police Station (Crime) was also transferred to the Crime Branch.
