(PCB): A woman walking home after watching a goddess procession was robbed of her gold mangalsutra worth ₹6.25 lakh. The incident took place on Saturday, October 12, around 9 PM near Priyadarshini School in Nehrunagar, Pimpri.
The 55-year-old woman filed a complaint at the Pimpri Police Station, and a case has been registered against two unidentified individuals.
According to the police, the complainant and her friend were walking home after watching the Dasara festival procession. As they passed Priyadarshini School in Nehrunagar, two unknown men approached them on a moped. The assailants forcibly snatched the woman’s mangalsutra, which weighed approximately nine tolas and was valued at ₹6.30 lakh.
