Maharashtra State's Strong Economy

Ajit Pawar's Remarks

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar assured that the state's economic situation is strong despite recent criticisms, highlighting the high GST revenue received by Maharashtra. He inaugurated various development projects in Pimpri-Chinchwad, emphasizing the importance of addressing the needs of the growing population and maintaining law and order.

Maharashtra State's Strong Economy

(Press Conference Bulletin): Opponents are criticizing the state treasury for being empty and claiming the state is heading towards bankruptcy. However, do not pay attention to this; I have presented the tenth budget of the state. Maharashtra is strong, and the economic situation is good. The state receives the highest Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the country, which indicates a healthy economy. Therefore, I assure you that no schemes will be stopped, even with the beloved sister (referring to the women’s schemes), stated Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

Inauguration of Development Projects in Pimpri-Chinchwad

Various development works in Pimpri-Chinchwad city were inaugurated, dedicated, and laid by Pawar. Present at the event were MP Shrirang Barane, MLAs Anna Bansode, Mahesh Landge, Ashwini Jagtap, Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh, Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale Patil, Vijaykumar Khorate, and Chandrakant Indalkar.

Ajit Pawar's Remarks

Ajit Pawar mentioned that Pimpri-Chinchwad is an industrial city with a rapidly increasing population. It is essential to meet the fundamental needs of the growing population. While providing facilities, there is strain on resources. The city is viewed as the engine of the state's development. Efforts are being made to resolve water supply issues, and measures are underway to alleviate traffic congestion. Law and order must be maintained; there should be no mistakes, and issues such as terrorism, goondaism (gangsterism), and bullying will not be tolerated.

 Cultural Events in the City

The city has hosted significant events like the 100th National Drama Festival and the All India Literary Conference. Urban planning must progress systematically, leading to developmental works. We are striving to resolve traffic congestion, and work is ongoing to ensure adequate and reliable water supply. This work needs to be sustained.

Prioritizing Public Representatives' Work

Commissioners were instructed to prioritize the work of public representatives. Remaining works should be completed vigorously, and progress on metro projects should be closely monitored. Law and order must be maintained, allowing citizens to move freely. Instructions were also given to the police commissioner. We should embrace the philosophies of Shivaji Maharaj, Phule, and Ambedkar while engaging with the community. While we work as the top state in the country, cooperation from everyone is expected. Pawar also instructed to initiate work on the Mata Ramai Memorial in Pimpri.
