Corruption in the System Encourages Infiltration in the Country – Adv. Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay
(PCB): Advocate Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay stated that currently, there are more than 60 million infiltrators in India, posing a threat to national security, unity, and integrity. He pointed out that corruption within the system is the root cause of this issue. This, he said, is a form of treason and organized crime. While there are enough laws in place to combat this, they are not strictly enforced. He urged common citizens to put pressure on their representatives to reform the education and legal systems in the country.

Event Begins with Tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj
The event commenced with the garlanding of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue, followed by paying homage to the founders of the organization, Pandit Dharmaveer Arya and Harikrishna Vafata. Adv. Upadhyay expressed that India has been looted more by corrupt individuals than by the British or Mughals. The rate of punishment for corrupt individuals is extremely low, he said. Issues like corruption, religious conversions, population explosion, youth addiction, and obscenity are hollowing out the nation from within. These factors are responsible for the reduced Hindu population in nine states, 200 districts, and 1,500 talukas in India.
Upadhyay Urges for Legal and Educational Reforms
Adv. Upadhyay stated that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj enforced strict laws during his reign, which prevented the Mughals from invading the south of India. Even today, practices like child marriage, the veil system, or night weddings are absent in the southern region, whereas Western influence is more prevalent in the northern region. He urged ordinary citizens not to fall for false promises from leaders and instead press the government for reforms in education and the legal system.

Senior Journalist Saturdekar Speaks on the Role of Journalism
In his speech, senior journalist Nandkumar Saturdekar mentioned that journalism is considered the fourth pillar of democracy. He highlighted how leaders like Lokmanya Tilak used their writings to awaken public opinion against the British during the pre-independence era. Post-independence, journalists have worked to guide the public towards ideal democracy and improve the lives of citizens. Journalists played a pivotal role in exposing issues such as the Emergency, the Bofors case, the Tehelka incident, the Shivani Bhatnagar case, the 2G scam, the spectrum scam, and the Adarsh scam. However, in recent years, the profession has been declining due to excessive commercialization and the entry of inappropriate individuals into journalism. To change this, he emphasized that journalists must follow the ideals set by Bhalshastri Jambhekar and Ramshastri Prabhune.
