Suicide or Murder?
The hanging bodies of four members of the same family were found, arguing whether it was suicide or murder
(PCB) – Nagpur district has been shaken after the bodies of four members of the same family were found hanging. Four members of the family of retired teacher Vijay Pachauri living in Mowad of Narkhed taluka have been found dead. The deceased include Vijay Pachori (age 68), wife Malabai Pachori (age 55), son Deepak (age 38) and Ganesh (age 38). Whether it is suicide or murder, the picture is not yet clear. There was a stir after the bodies of four members of the same family were found and all four were found hanging. The police have expressed the suspicion that these four committed mass suicide. Due to this, there is an atmosphere of fear in Mowad and the surrounding area.
As soon as the incident was reported, the Nagpur rural police rushed to the spot and seized the body and sent it for postmortem. A forensic team has also reached the spot. Why did this family end their lives so suddenly? Many questions are now being raised whether it is suicide or murder and the police are investigating it further.
Police say that the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained. The police also found a suicide note with the signatures of the four. The two boys whose bodies were found were not yet married. Both lived with their parents. A case was registered against the boy for cheating in the cooperative society. The boy was also arrested on the complaint of Pandura Co-operative Society in Madhya Pradesh. The note details that he was granted bail a month ago.
Earlier recently in Delhi too, five members of the same family were found dead in an apartment. The police suspected that the dead man and his four daughters had committed suicide by consuming poison. Neighbors called the police as the smell started coming from the house, the police expressed the possibility that the father had poisoned his daughter. Police said all the four girls are physically challenged. Their age was between 8 to 18 years.
Earlier in the month of July, husband and wife had committed suicide in Nagpur. Originally from Kerala, Riju was suffering from his wife Priya Nair's blood cancer. He also poisoned his 11-year-old daughter. But she survived. A painter by profession, Riju could not earn in the city. He had to spend most of his time with his sick wife.
